I didn't get around to make an Inspiration post last night, so I just quickly chose a couple of pictures ant threw them together for a post. I'll try to post something mroe interesting/personal ASAP!

Très français

Sunday, 15 June 2014

sweater: zara pants: primark bag: topshop shoes: /

I'd been wanting to wear my 'suit' pants again for weeks now but I never got around doing it because I either forgot about them, or the temperatures went up to mid 20 to 30 degrees, on which days wearing any clothes at all was horrible. I went to a small family dinner tonight, so I decided to simply add my Chanel inspired bag and my red espadrilles to the outfit I already wore during the day and there we go! I can't emphasize enough how frickin' comfortable these pants are, I felt like I was wearing joggings all day/evening! The combination of colours, patterns and style somehow made me feel very French, (hence the title) probably also because it looks quite chic but laid back at the same time! Definitely need to get these beautiful pants out more often now, when it's not boiling outside.

When I was reading through June issue of InStyle (British edition), I came across an article about this blog called AdvancedStyle. It's basically a street style blog but instead of mainly young or middle-aged people who are sporting great outfits, it is filled with pictures of eldery people from New York. Having gotten curious after reading about the blog a little bit, I went on to look it up and I couldn't resist sharing some pictures on here! I find it so inspirational how much effort these ladies (and some gentlemen!) put into their outfits. Don't they look kick-ass?

Walking on Sunshine

Thursday, 12 June 2014

skort: h&m divided top: everything5pounds leather jacket: topshop shoes: / rings: h&m sunglasses: camden lock nailpolish: hema

I wore this outfit today, only without the leather jacket because I would probably have melted in it and it's quite surprising to me how this ended up being an outfit I really do like a lot, as I threw it together within 3 minutes, already half way out the door to catch my bus. I like the simple and clean colour scheme and when I was editing the pictures for this post, my mind just automatically started singing "I'm walking on sunshine, ohhh-oh!" - because how could it not when seeing those yellow shoes? I'll keep it short for today and wish you all a nice rest of your Thursday x

Rings and earrings: H&M / Choker: Asos
Pronti (basically a really cheap shoe shop)
New Look via Asos

Hey guys! Unfortunately, I have to keep this post quite short, as I'm (once again) running late and doing my make-up and cooking lunch simultaneously so that I don't miss my bus, haha! I picked up a couple of things here and there over the last week or so and just quickly wanted to show you what those things are. The rings from the first picture were already mentioned in my 'Current Favourites' post and the choker necklace is probably no surprise, as I made a post about them quite recently. The earrings are just something I couldn't walk past without buying them! The espadrilles (the red shoes) I got for 3,45€ (!) and I've been going back to the store to get them in other colours but I haven't found any in my size yet. The boots are the kind of shoes that I'd been looking for all autumn/winter, so when I found them for a price of ~30€, it was a no-brainer for me. The orange thing from Asos is an off-shoulder jumpsuit which I yet have to decide how to wear and the patterned shorts were quite honestly an impulse buy because I'm absolutely in love with loose fitting, light shorts! I'll try to get some outfit pictures done again soon, so you'll hopefully see most of these items worn! Have a nice Wednesday (and don't forget to watch Pretty Little Liars!!) x

Current Favourites

Sunday, 8 June 2014

I've been thinking about making a monthly favourites section on the blog for a couple of days now and decided to start it off today. I called this specific post 'Current Favourites' because it feels weird to call it 'May Favourites' as I feel like May is already so far away again but I it's too early to call it 'June Favourites' - see my dilemma? So for now, it'll be a current favourites post. I simply thought of a couple of things I've been liking lately and snapped pictures of it. Let me know if you like this kind of post and if so; is there anything specific you want me to add? Food, fashion, beauty, ... ?
1. I got these slouchy, joggings-like shorts from H&M Divided after seeing them on a fellow Luxembourg blogger's Instagram and I loove them! They're easily the most comfortable shorts I own and even though they remind me quite a bit of joggings or shorts you'd wear to the gym, they're really versatile and can be worn up or down, depending what you pair them with.
2. Two Dots is a game I downloaded about a week ago and even though I'm currently frustrated due to being stuck at a level I just can't seem to get through, (this feels like my Candy Crush dilemma all over again, hah) it's pretty addictive and just one of those games I play whenever I'm bored.
3. I remember seeing Skinny Bitch on a friend's desk years and years ago but was never particularly curious about it. Once I started paying more attention to what I eat and literately went vegan, I read that one of my favourite bloggers loved this book, so I decided to give it a go, especially since I finally have time to read non-Uni-related books again. I meant to order it in English but I got it in German, but it's still a brilliant book nevertheless. Even though I don't agree with 100% of what is said in the book, it's written in a very witty and sarcastic but also highly interesting way. I'm not completely done reading it yet, but it's such an easy and good read that I should be able to finish it shortly. I recommend this book to anyone who's interested in learning more about food and nutrition but doesn't want to read an overly complicated book - no matter what your diet it!
4. While having a short browse through H&M the other day, (New In post to be on the blog soon) I stumbled across a whole bundle of silver rings in different sizes. I love how simple and slim they are and because there's so many of them (I'd say the pack came with approximately 20 rings) and they come in different sizes, there are a lot of combination possibilities.
5. I remember loving Nicki Minaj's Super Bass song years ago but slowly disliking her music more and more - too much hip hop/rap for my taste. Then I discovered this song. And oh boy I love it! It's lovely to hear more of Nicki's beautiful voice in another way than her rapping and this song is somehow so calming and relaxing that I've been playing it at least 5 times while writing this post, haha!
6. This might seem like a quite random/stupid favourite, but I've been using Snapchat so much lately, it would be weird not to at least shortly mention it on here. I used to never really get the point of this app, but now that I got some more 'friends' on it, I'm having more fun than I should be having, haha! Because let's be honest; who doesn't love being able to pull ugly faces and send it to friends without the risk of them floating around the internet for the rest of eternity?
7. Before I came home from the UK, I bought a bunch of English magazines, as they're ridiculously expensive over here. To my surprise, ELLE is the magazine I'm enjoying the most at the moment. Luckily, that is very convenient because my mum loves the magazine as well, so we usually have it lying around the house in at least two languages.

Slowly drifting

skirt, shoes, bag: h&m top, necklace: primark leather jacket: zara

Hey guys! I'm back with a big fat sorry because even though I took these pictures on Sunday evening, (yes, evening and look at how light it was outside - awesome!) I either never had the time to update or whenever I did have the time, I realised that my camera was in my mum's car, so I never had access to the pictures. In case you haven't guessed it yet, I wore this outfit for dinner with friends on Sunday and finally got the chance to take pictures of this beautiful skirt in action! I definitely have to wear it more often now that it's getting warmer. I love how it looks classy but still has this cool twist with the two slits on the side and I feel so damn confident when walking in it when it's swaying around, haha! I started my internship at a newspaper on Monday, so I'm not necessarily wearing the most exciting outfits, but I'll try to squeeze in an outfit post here or there. x
